It’s official. I have a new blog (well, I have the URL) for my original stuff. Why the name? Honestly, I got the idea from a post on the “Doomsday Clock” - that “how long til the world ends” concept started back in 1947 by a group of atomic scientists. The first clock was “set” to 7 minutes before midnight. Today, it has inched closer, to 6 before midnight. For me, the clock has to be at one before twelve. That’s the make or break point. No more snooze buttons, just press “send” and get outta Dodge.
So One Before Midnight is the muse and the deadline. Once a week, before midnight Saturday, I post. Raw, unfinished, ideas, tracks….whatever and wherever I am. Just to start the shipping. I’m kind of scared, but more exhilarated.
Possibility is pretty exciting, even as it terrifies. Lean into the spear, they say.
