30 DAYS, 12 FOLLOWERS, NO EXCUSES

Thanks to Fellow Follower Simon Fowler (wow), I have a simple way and a great visualization of the “First Followers Dance Party” project I’ve signed on to with 12 others.

Our leader Andrew Wicklander has fallen in love with Idea #5, the “30 Day Calendar” an idea based on creation of a 30 day template to use for motivational and goal attainment purposes.  At first I was a little ho-hum on it, but then I realized this is just the group/project/idea/motivations I’VE been needing. Below is what the calendar IDEA looks like. (My friend Ann noted her favorite part is that the corners are rounded and thereby more friendly) Personally, my favorite part is the little “Yay!” at the bottom - a nod to we who have difficulty finishing things. Me thinks Dubber thinks like me, or he’s just a great motivational coach.

I’ve downloaded 4 pages already to test myself. I’m amazed at how scattered I can be, and how this simple tool helps. Honestly, I didn’t know until recently how important it is to me to have a graphic visualization of my plans - NOT a list - but a graphic. I think this is a right brain thing, so I’ll bring this up in the staff meeting over at Wicklander central.

You can download a pdf yourself and kickstart some stuff too as you await the new whatever it is we come up with!

I’m thinking I could contribute more to this by helping build community around it.  Maybe we could add some cool content to the idea by offering up “30 Day” suggestions to people;  maybe start a social site where folks can share their ideas/progress and get yet another tribe going around the idea.

Andrew has committed to teaching himself Ruby on Rails and enough CSS to develop this..and I know he will. As for us followers, we are the beta group, and at minimum have to test drive 30 days to SOMETHING.

What will it be for me?  Maybe it’ll be :30 second cues for 30 days.  Or just 30 ideas - one per day - rough tracks….I still have a few days to ponder.  But I’m excited as hell, and I love being part of this global support team.

Thanks to Fellow Follower, and musician DJ Phillips for the nice recap of Dubber’s ideas so far.
